Program 17. – 21.7.2017
1 vs. 1 carrying of the ball, skills and movements – individual exercises & overcoming the opponent with speed. Accumulation of skills and tricks.
Passing and combinations – with the focus on the accuracy of passing, intensity and timing. We will discover how top clubs like Barcelona developed the ”tikitaka” playing style through exercises in passing skills.
Game management through thought. Game management without a clear idea is pointless. Our training period will teach players how to play fast, aggressive counter-attacking football.
The theme will be using the individual skills taught from the beginning of the week. We want to see the players make the best decision in 7v7 – 9v9 games from what they have learnt so far in the camp. Each player will make the decision to dribble, perform a skill, pass as well as their movement on & off the ball. We want to see their defending & attacking skills in games that will continue to show case that in a transitional environment.
Today we begin player testing. A leaderboard will be created to test & record timings. Scores will be awarded focusing on speed with & without the ball. Reaction, passing accuracy, finishing & plenty of skill challenges will also be recorded. This will be a fun & competitive morning! After lunch we will finish with a tournament day. Everyone will be involved & with the tournament being small sided it will maximise players touches on the ball, dribbles, passes, shots, decision making & much more!
